An international identity

Founded in 1828, John Foord is a well-established company who specialise in the valuation of commercial and industrial buildings, civils, structures, plant and equipment. With locations based in 5 different continents, they have an international presence in asset valuation, operating in industries such as aviation, pharmaceuticals and oil and gas.

John Foord approached Fat Heads to properly define a brand and visual identity, ensuring global communication could stay consistent and recognisable. This involved us refining their logo, colour palette and typography, which could then be implemented throughout corporate stationery and promotional material.

Brand Identity

John Foord already possessed a logo that clients were familiar with but it wasn’t versatile enough to keep up with the demands of the digital age.

Without completely overhauling an established identity we worked with John Foord to standardise and refine the logo, employing a new typeface and colour scheme allowing for more flexibility and consistency whilst still maintaining a sense of continuity with their old image.

It was important that this parent brand was versatile enough to be adapted for John Foord subsidiaries in the future.

Stationery and Promotional Material

The new identity was implemented across a range of new template designs for John Foord including company brochure/banners and corporate stationery to be reproduced in different languages for each location.

By plotting the various John Foord location points on a map we were able to create a distinctive shape that can be used as a visual asset across brand collateral, which also helps reinforce the John Foord global presence.
