A highlight of some of our favourite networking events that have enabled us to grow our friends and contacts in Manchester.

Creating great individual work for clients is, without doubt, one of the best ways to grow your business but unless you are telling people about it and growing your contact base then it can fall flat.

With this in mind, we thought we would highlight some of our favourite networking events that have enabled us to grow our friends and contacts in business over time in Manchester.

MANCHESTER DIGITAL

Now in its 19th year, this is a great resource right on our doorstep for students, freelancers and all the way up to large organisations to meet and share ideas and experiences.

MD is always superbly attended and if you are in the digital sector this is an absolute must for building contacts.

The packed calendar which provides events through the year ensures that the modest subscription fee is value for money.

Expertly ran by Katie Gallagher and Rachel Thompson who is a wealth of helpful information and excellent advice should you need.

THE BUSINESS GROUP

This is one of the first socials we attended when starting out as a business 11 years ago, then it was known as the Chapel Street Business Network.

Excellently hosted by stalwart Jon Monk, you are always guaranteed an entertaining and informative event with a few chuckles along the way.

An off-spin of The Business Group is the less frequently held “Salford Sup”, an opportunity for businesses to practise pitching a new business idea in front of an audience with the added incentive of a cash prize pot for the winner to help start the business rolling.

JCI MANCHESTER

Unfortunately, we are reaching the age limit of membership to JCI because this a brilliant not for profit organisation for 18 to 40-year-olds in the city that we have attended over the past years.

A great selection of workshops, projects and boards, JCI offers information and experience that would not always be open to individuals in the workplace

FRESH WALKS

Probably a bit strange to mention an event that we are yet to attend but we feel an honourable mention should go to the brilliant concept of Fresh Walks.

The brainchild of founder Micheal Di Paola, Fresh Walks is centred on getting people out of the office and into the fresh air. This is a superb idea that combines health and wellbeing, a pleasant scenic walk and the opportunity to have great chat and network.

With full-day options and more succinct city walks there really is something for everyone here. Time to put our best foot forward and book on.
