Fat Heads asked to create a brand new brochure for The Gourmet Society’s guide to it’s participating 30,000 restaurants nationwide.
If there was one bad thing about producing the latest UK restaurant guide for the highly successful Manchester business, The Gourmet Society, it would be that looking at food on your monitor all day leaves you drooling into the keyboard.
The Gourmet Society is a rapidly expanding restaurant membership of 25,000. Having promised their readership a snazzy 300-page guide, Fat Heads were quickly snapped up to design and produce it in record time.
Fat Heads had a few XML tricks up their sleeves and were able to pull all 1,000 restaurant listings directly from the website into the guide, saving the client countless hours of manual input. Alongside handling the layout and print management, Fat Heads also provided bespoke digital illustrations to enhance the guide’s visual appeal. Custom restaurant icons, decorative elements, and stylized food illustrations were incorporated to create a fresh, engaging look that set the guide apart from standard directories.
By blending design expertise with digital illustration, Fat Heads delivered a visually rich and easy-to-navigate guide that has now been circulated to over 30,000 members and restaurants. So far, just like the food advertised within, it has gone down very well indeed—both in print and digital format.
