Fat Heads have developed an online directory to search organisations in Greater Manchester.

Fat Heads have just launched a search directory listing organisations on behalf of The Greater Manchester Data Trust.

The project required Fat Heads to import nearly 4,000 companies and businesses based in the Greater Manchester region into an online database. GM Data Trust then allows trusted users to access the secure database via two-factor authentication.

Once in the user can either search by organisation name or use the filterable options to narrow down the listing. The filterable options required cross-categorisation of the organisations using imported taxonomy such as: locality; turnover; year of incorporation; number of employees; and sector.

The portal is fully content managed so GM Data Trust administrators can amend organisation details, create site user accounts and even import more organisations to expand the database.

The Trust are really happy with the results and see the website as a constantly developing organic project as more and more organisations and users are added.
